The Big Island is coming to the Rocky Top.
Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii will be opening three locations in Knoxville. The franchise owners, a married couple, are still searching for locations to set up shop but are eyeing one in Downtown and West Knoxville. They told Knox News they were introduced to the brand in 2019 and have been in love ever since.
Every single time that I’ve visited one of the stores, I felt like I left with an amazing product, amazing customer service, and I felt happier.
Now they want to bring that same type of feeling to Knoxville.
The deal will give the owners a period of four years to open the three locations. The first one could open in West Knox before the year is over.
According to the coffee brand’s website, Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii was founded in 1989 and all of their coffee comes from the islands of Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Moloka‘i, Kona and Ka’u. While the coffee might have different tastes depending on their location, all Hawaiian coffee has one thing in common: volcanic soil; rich in minerals which helps with the growth of healthy coffee plants.
In addition to a variety of coffees and lattes, the shop’s menu also includes lemonades, energy drinks, smoothies, tea, and food items.
