Great Smoky Mountains synchronized firefly lottery dates announced
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park has announced the dates for the annual lottery to view the mesmerizing synchronized fireflies. This natural phenomenon, where thousands of fireflies light up in unison, is a sight to behold and draws visitors from all over the world.
Due to the popularity of this event, the park has implemented a lottery system to manage the number of visitors and protect the delicate ecosystem of the fireflies. Only a limited number of parking passes are available each night, and winners of the lottery will be notified via email.
The lottery opens for reservation applications on Friday, April 26 at 10 a.m. and closes on Monday, April 29 at 11:59 p.m. The results will be available by Monday, May 6.
