MLB and NASCAR legends plus Tennessee’s governor were on site at Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday to announce exciting news. The MLB will be hosting a game at BMS next year.
The Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds will go head-to-head on Saturday, August 2, 2025. This will count as a regular-season home game for the Reds.
Rob Manfred, the MLB Commissioner, said this will be a “unique setting that sports fans will remember forever.”
We look forward to celebrating our game with a wide array of fans, both on and off the field throughout the weekend, and highlighting the rich traditions of sports, music and community in Tennessee and across the region.
This is the first regular-season of baseball that Tennessee has ever hosted. FOX Sports will be doing national coverage on the game.
Turning a race track into a baseball field might be unconventional but the Speedway has it all figured out.
A baseball diamond will be built across the track and infield… It will be primarily situated between Turns 3 and 4 of the track.
This isn’t the first time Bristol has hosted a major event, outside of racing. The last time was in 2016 when Tennessee and Virginia Tech played their football game.
In addition to the game, the MLB says several fan experiences will also be going on leading up to the event, including entertainment and music.
Tickets go on sale to the public in early December.
